The Taste: Tuesday at 8|7c on ABC

There is a new show on ABC called "The Taste".  It's a spin on "The Voice".  Contestants compete on the taste of their food, and like the "The Voice" the mentors decide on who they will choose without seeing the chefs. 

If you follow The Travel Channel or any of the cooking shows, you will recognize the mentors as Anthony Bourdain, Ludo Lefebvre, Nigella Lawson and Brian Malarkey. There isn't a lot of explanation of what is happening in the show, and I wish that the chefs were judged not only on taste but presentation as well.  However, this show is pretty decent and if you like "The Voice" and cooking shows, you will mostly likely enjoy "The Taste." 

If nothing else, give it a chance.  You can check it out tonight (Tuesday, 2/19) at 8/7c on ABC.

Baby...you're so perfect!

I love all of your dark hair and how it sticks up straight off your head like a baby monkey. I love the way you grunt in between feeding. You secretly sneak your thumb because you know mom doesn't want you to. And when I catch you, you look at me like, "what mom?" I think it's funny how you already sneeze and snore like your daddy. And it melts my heart how you sleep on dad's chest for hours. You're such a good baby, only barely crying when you're hungry or when we take your diaper off. You're belly button fell off this week, and it made me a little sad because you're already growing so fast. Dad likes to change your outfits and already has his favorites. Mom thinks you look adorable in everything. Although mommyhood is much harder than I imagined...I wouldn't trade it for anything.

She has arrived!

She weighed in at 8.3 pounds, and is 19.5 inches long. She arrived on Wednesday at 9:39p.m. after being induced at 8:30a.m. She is absolutely perfect. Thanks for all the texts and emails. We love you all and thank you for your support. We couldn't ask for anything more!

Baby, we're READY!!!

Ok, so not really, but we do at least have a place for our little baby girl to rest her head.

I just noticed how funny this picture is because it looks like it's cropped off, but really it's just a white wall on the left of the room. Thanks to hubby for putting together the crib. It even has a mattress in it now, and a darling little stuffed Serta Sheep. Now we just have paint, curtains, bedding...oh, pretty much everything else. Any volunteers to paint? :) We've already taped the ceiling. ha ha
