Holy Smokes! This is a long post.

5 Things Meme

First, the rules

1. Each player answers the questions about themselves.
2. At the end of the post, the player then tags five people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves a comment letting them know they've been tagged and to ask them to play along and to read your blog.

What I was doing ten years ago...

1 That would have been ’98… I was just being “20”
2 Going to UVSC…sitting in the hall of flags, and checking people out.
3 Working at Alexander’s…which who knew then would turn into a 12-year career.
4 Hanging with friends from my BYU ward…those were amazing times.
5 Driving a Honda Accord EX, which by the way, I still drive to this day. Anyone need a car?

Five things on my to-do list today...

1 Watch TV…I have some programs to catch up on.
2 Mop the bathroom floor…it’s BAD!
3 Put price tags on all my clothing for my boutique.
4 Go to bed early.
5 Make a semi-unsatisfying meal…and pretend to enjoy it.

Five snacks I enjoy...

1 First of all…how do I limit it to “5” snacks? The first on the list is anything gummy…gummy worms, gummy bears, gummy fruits…you name it, I LOVE it!
2 Any baked good from Gourmandie’s Bakery in downtown SLC.
3 Dippin’ Dots…yes, I said it, dippin’ dots…hard to find, but worth every dot.
4 Crackers…almost any kind, but especially cheesey ones…like Cheese Nips.
5 frooties…you know those penny candies that are like tootsie rolls, but fruity, I love those… Kenny calls them footies.

Five things I would do if I was a billionaire...

1 Buy a BMW 135i…only because it’s the car I really want right now… I’m sure there would be others to follow.
2 Travel the world IN STYLE. Nice hotels, amazing restaurants, first class tickets, never carrying my own bags. (I stole this one from Arianne)
3 I would buy my dream house…not necessarily huge, but decked out…all the really great cupboards, and really fine furnishings, completed with a fantastic yard filled with waterfalls that flow into pools.
4 To take care of the house and yard, I would need a full staff…and I would pay them well. This would also include a personal chef, and in-house trainer.
5 I would not work…I would actually love to be able to travel to places in need, and devote time, energy and money to helping them better their lives.

Five of my bad habits....

1 WAY overuse of the ... (dot dot dot)
2 Not washing my face…there are nights when let’s face it, all I want to do is go to bed.
3 Moodiness…I’m going to say it’s a bad “habit,” because it’s something I’m trying to work on. Unfortunately, there is a week out of the month where I’m not really that nice of a person.
4 Easily irritated. I’m irritated by music when it’s too loud, when someone asks me too many questions, by wrappers, people chomping their popcorn too loudly in the theater….the list goes on and on.
5 Eating junk food. Should be BAD HABIT #1.

Five places I have lived.... (I'm going to change this to five places I've traveled because my places I've lived is BORING!

1 Toyko, Japan
2 Milan, Italy
3 Saipan
4 Cancun, Mexico
5 Boston, MA

Five jobs I've had....

1 I shredded important documents in the basement of a bank. It was dark, cement, and lonely…besides all the bankers would throw their drinks, and gum in the same trash that I had to sort through…and the WORST was toner cartridges.
2 I worked at a video and party goods store…I loved it! I got to see a lot of movies before they were released on video. I always thought that was cool. Plus, I LOVE party goods.
3 Jamba Juice. I worked there two weeks and decided that it was really cutting into my social life, so I quit. My only paycheck I ever got there was $76.
4 Mervyns – I HATED that job! The place was a complete disaster. I’m a little OCD and it bothered me to have to fold, and refold the same pair of pants 20 times in one night. I wanted to scream at the patrons…don’t unfold unless you are going to BUY!!! I think I would have done much better in a smaller retail store, or boutique.
5 I’m just going to say, ALEXANDER’S…it was 12 years of my life…lots of friends, a few enemies, great customers…and good experiences. I moved on a month and a half ago…big life change for me.

Tag! You're it!!

1 Julie E. – The Queen Bee and Me. A friend of mine, and a SUPER funny person…I can’t wait to read her answers.
2 Danalyn – Treasures4u2share. This is my cousin, and she’s a computer nerd. J …like my husband. And I love finding out more about her.
3 McKell – Up to my knees in KNIT. I love her blog, and I don’t know her SUPER well, and would like to get to know her better.
4 Suzy – The Baller Fam. I always send my surveys to Suzy. We probably know close to everything possible about each other by taking these surveys, and being friends for so long, but it’s a tradition.
5 Heather – The Miller Fam. Super cute cousin…always a pleasure to be around.

GO!!!(And in case you are wondering like I was...A meme (pronounced /miːm or mɛm/) consists of any unit of cultural information, such as a practice or idea, that gets transmitted verbally or by repeated action from one mind to another. Examples include thoughts, ideas, theories, practices, habits, songs, dances and moods and terms such as race, culture, and ethnicity. Memes propagate themselves and can move through a "culture" in a manner similar to the behavior of a virus. Thanks Wikipedia.) – thanks Arianne…I was wondering about that.

I like this match better. :)

Hungry Like a Wolf

So...in keeping with my usual fashion, I've started another diet. I had been noticing that a friend of mine had been getting thinner, and thinner. So, I asked her...are you sick, tape worms, heroin, TrimSpa? Well...to find out, none of these...my answer to her answer..."Hungry Like a Wolf." She told me that for two months the following foods were all that she ate:

fruit
veggies
fish
chicken
skim milk
hard boiled eggs

Well...that doesn't sound too hard I thought to myself...so then I asked her a TON of questions...can I have string cheese, can I eat whole wheat bread, what about M&M's, to which she kindly replied, "ultimately you can eat whatever you want, but this is what I ate." Hmmm...ok, so I started today... I attempted to hard boil eggs...ok, you're thinking "attempted?" How hard could it be. So...I called my mom (an infinite source of cooking knowledge, albeit surprsing, since I thought she never cooked,) and asked her how to boil an egg. :) She tells me three minutes after the water starts boiling...well, I'm no spring chick, so I boiled them for 4 minutes. I got to work, cracked open the first egg...gooey yolk. YUCK!!! So...back in the ziploc bag it went...along with the other one...hoping I wouldn't have to smell rotten egg all day. So...I ate my freeze dried fruit (both bags), and went for a diet coke, which by the way, the friend said was a no go...when she said this, I laughed and bought a diet coke. So...by the time lunch rolled around (11:30a.m.) I was STARVING! Wallaby's...ok, I can do that. An entire plate of smoked turkey and veggies... ok, ok, I cheated with a tiny scoop of smashers and a few droplets of BBQ sauce. I wonder if that's indicative of how this is going to go? eh, we'll see. At this point, I tell my friend Arianne about my NEW fabulous diet...and which point, she laughs...and says it will last 4 days. Well...now that's what I like to call a challenge! So...here I am, blogging, and really wishing I was eating. I am now officially HUNGRY LIKE A WOLF!!! On that note, I'm off to Costco to find something I can eat. Out with the old, in with the new.
